This is a Senior Tax Accountant position within the tax compliance group primarily responsible for domestic compliance and tax accounting for the Sports and Entertainment operations of a U.S. based company.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review and prepare corporate federal, state and local income tax returns
Review and prepare quarterly estimated tax payments and tax return extensions
Review and prepare interim and year-end tax provisions including current taxable income calculation and deferred tax roll forward.
Liaise with finance and accounting personnel to collect and analyze financial information for assigned business operations
Develop an understanding of the business for assigned entities
Assist with responses to taxing authority inquiries
Provide tax support to other corporate and operating groups
Supervise staff and/or consultants tasked with the preparation of assigned entity tax returns and projects
Assist with ad hoc projects related to income tax audits and planning
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; MBT and/or CPA (or eligible to sit for the CPA exam) is a strong plus
3+ years of domestic income tax compliance experience; public accounting in a nationally recognized firm a strong plus
Strong understanding of domestic corporate income tax principles
Understanding of basic tax accounting concepts
Strong tax technical research skills
Detail oriented and ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
Ability to perform responsibilities independently, effectively and efficiently when working remotely
Self-starter with strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively as a part of a team
Strong proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, Xlookup and logical formulas)
Experience with Corptax, Alteryx and Workday is preferred, but not required

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $83,000.00-110,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
