JOB DESCRIPTION

Fox & Friends is looking for an experienced Coordinating/Booking Producer to join the # 1 National Cable Morning Show. The ideal candidate is an independent leader who is a proven go-getter, a team player, and someone who can rise to the occasion under the stressful demands of cable news. As Coordinating/Booking Producer, you should have a proven track record of booking top-tier guests on tight timelines, managing multiple deadlines, excellent editorial judgment, and experience in breaking news situations. You understand the importance of the “first phone call" and have the ability to reel in the big get before anyone else is even awake! You understand this role requires a high level of flexibility, commitment, and dedication. 

 

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Book people at the center of major news stories, high-profile guests, and celebrities

  • Conduct research and compile well-rounded pre-interviews

  • Manage daily deadline turnarounds of a live show

  • Pitch unique and interesting stories and guest ideas

  • Build and maintain relationships with a variety of newsmakers

  • Provide solid news judgment, especially during breaking news

  • Help plan future editorial content for the show

 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 5+ years of proven live newsroom experience

  • Previous booking experience

  • Strong editorial judgment

  • A passion for current events

  • An extensive rolodex and can book everyone from high-profile guests, celebrities, and people at the center of major news stories

  • Ability to utilize social media to identify viral posts and book guests

  • Ability to work under tight deadline pressures while juggling long-term bookings

  • Ability to work overnights and weekends

  • Experience researching using Lexis Nexis, Accurint, iNews preferred

  • A Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent work experience

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $102,000.00-136,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
