We are looking for an Associate Producer to join the FOX Weather team in NY. As an Associate Producer, you will pitch stories, compile research, coordinate video and graphic elements, and work hands-on with our on-air meteorologists. You will be involved with contributing to our social media presence, as well as sourcing the best user-generated content. The Associate Producer needs strong production skills to produce informative and compelling content and you thrive in a fast-paced environment.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pitch stories daily, with topics ranging from the most important breaking weather news to features on weather-related stories of interest
Help produce segments for FOX Weather programming
Find the best sound bites, video and graphics to build the most informative and compelling segments
Write banners, cut video and, on rare occasions, book guests all while quickly responding to breaking weather news
Quickly identify strong user-generated content from multiple sources, ensuring the best elements are incorporated into FOX Weather coverage
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
Bachelor’s degree in journalism preferred, or equivalent experience
2 years of news or news-related production experience
Must have a passion for weather - weather experience a plus
Broadcast weather display system experience is a plus
Experience in a live control room
Experience writing/producing segments
Ability to meet quick deadlines and react to breaking news

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $67,000.00-70,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
