JOB DESCRIPTION

America Reports is looking for an experienced Coordinating Producer to join the team. The ideal candidate is an independent leader who is a proven go-getter, a team player, and someone who can rise to the occasion under the stressful demands of cable news. As Coordinating Producer, you should have excellent editorial judgment and breaking news experience.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Be a leader, especially in the control room, including but not limited to working with on-air talent, reporters and guests in the field, and the director to ensure the program runs as smoothly as possible
Fill in as line producer when needed
Manage production
Help copy edit scripts
Communicate daily story development to the executive producer
Provide solid news judgment, especially during breaking news
Help plan daily and future editorial content for the show

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

5+ years of proven live newsroom experience, including management of control room and line/segment producers, for television newscast
Knowledge and passion for news
Exceptional editorial skills
Ability to work under pressure, be decisive, detail-oriented, and meet deadlines
Demonstrated ability/track record of being highly motivated and getting things done in a fast-paced environment.
A Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $102,000.00-136,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
