JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Duties:

Fox Cable Network Services, LLC seeks a Computer and Information Systems Manager (Manager, Machine Learning Operations), responsible for overseeing the development, deployment, and maintenance of FOX’s machine learning models and infrastructure.  Work collaboratively with data scientists, software engineers, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration between the organization’s data science and production environments, enabling FOX to deliver high-quality and scalable machine learning solutions.  Specific duties include: 1) Lead and manage the Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) team, including hiring, training, and mentoring team members.  2) Foster a collaborative and high-performing culture within the MLOps team.  3) Develop and implement strategies to ensure efficient and reliable deployment of machine learning models into production environments.  4) Design and optimize workflows for model training, validation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.  5) Establish and enforce best practices for version control, reproducibility, and code quality in machine learning development.  6) Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and IT teams to identify and implement infrastructure improvements to support the development and execution of machine learning models.  7) Implement and maintain robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of deployed models.  8) Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in MLOps, continuously evaluating and incorporating relevant advancements into FOX practices.  9) Monitor and manage the operational costs and resource utilization related to MLOps.  10) Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing updates on project status, risks, and opportunities

Job Requirements:

Requires a Master degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or related field, plus two (2) years of machine learning or related software engineering experience including experience with deploying machine learning models into production environments; deploying and managing machine learning models in cloud environments; containerizing machine learning applications; building infrastructure automation pipelines; and managing or supervising a team of junior level data scientists, machine learning engineers or software engineers/developers.

*Specific skills: Also requires experience or knowledge in the following: 1) Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or Java; 2) Knowledge of machine learning and data science principles; 3) Knowledge of software engineering principles and software development methodologies such as Agile and DevOps; 4) Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP and Azure; 5) Experience with serverless computing and containerization technologies such as Docker, Fargate, ECS, and Kubernetes; 6) Experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch or scikit-learn; and 7) Experience with automation tools such as Github Actions, Jenkins or CircleCI

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $193,597.27-212,956.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
