WNYW seeks a perdiem Assignment Editor.
Responsibilities: Assigns reporters and crews to cover stories; Coordinate camera
crew and live trucks; Monitor police/fire/EMS radios for breaking news;
Responsible for monitoring news network and all news sources; Develop and set
up news stories.
Requirements: Must have a minimum of 3 years experience working on an
assignment desk in a local newsroom; Must be able to prioritize and be aggressive
in obtaining information and sources and able to work well under pressure; New
York City experience a plus; Internet experience required.
Candidate will also be required to join the WGA East union. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience and in accordance with the applicable union collective bargaining agreement is: $20.63-$48.81 per hour.
