JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior Coordinator, Media Control Center is responsible for managing and supporting the daily inbound transmission, outbound distribution and monitoring for all linear and digital platforms. This role interacts with Fox Sports, Entertainment, and News team to innovate and test new distribution solutions.

The Senior Coordinator, Media Control Center works alongside Operational Management to provide support with operations labor scheduling.

The Senior Coordinator, Media Control Center is part of the Media Operations team, which is responsible for delivering a high-quality viewer experience to millions of viewers across Fox networks, digital platforms, mobile applications, websites, and licensing partnerships. A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Media Control Center Operation

  • Provides supervision and support for all inbound contribution and outbound distribution activities
  • Provides support with operations labor scheduling
  • Documents process and procedures to ensure a reliable transmission operation and keeps documentation organized and accessible
  • Actively engages and quickly escalates transmission outages, malfunctions, and technical issues
  • Supervises and provides support for the configuration and troubleshooting of all transmission systems to ensure maximum reliability
  • Some weekend, holidays, and prime time coverage will be required

Collaboration & Partnerships 

  • Supports Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery teams 
  • Plays a role in building new technology solutions together with the engineering team
  • Engages with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues when things go awry
  • Works closely with all business units and provides world class customer service support.

Performance Improvement

  • Gathers and standardizes data to make business decisions
  • Tracks operations dashboards and constantly looks for ways to make things works better, faster, and smoother
  • Prioritizes the use of Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to motivate the team

Training and Career Development

  • Jumps on opportunities to learn new skills, especially in emerging technologies
  • Utilizes existing career development programs to advance career
  • Builds and motivates high performing teams to deliver high quality products
  • Partners with management to develop all-star teams of utility players who can work in different areas
  • Works closely with all business units and provides world class customer service support.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Level & Role Specific Qualifications 

  • Relevant ork experience
  • Understands broadcast and distribution workflow, but not required

General Qualifications 

  • Ability to manage in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions
  • Ability to translate and communicate business requirements into operational and technical requirements

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • A Bachelor’s Degree is awesome, but not required
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies such as 4K High Dynamic Range is a plus
