JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Alternative Entertainment is looking for a Vice President, Production to join their team!

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review all development, specials, pilot and series budgets when new projects are ordered
  • Review all potential overages and breakage budgets
  • Review all cost reports for auditable budgets to help determine any payment advances
  • Find multi-show efficiencies across production, casting, etc.
  • Review and analyze all P&L’s
  • Liaison between BA, programming, and producers
  • Liaison w/production Line Producers/EICs
  • Discuss/negotiate with producers and implementation of Network notes/comments/suggestions/revisions to each budget
  • Create budgets/estimates for new shows (including those developed in-house) to estimate network’s potential financial commitment
  • Identify, interview, and cultivate relationships with EIC’s for current and future projects
  • Maintain awareness of development budget spends and development deadlines and options
  • Manage and maintain post-production requests/overages/extra hours
  • Manage trade out/integration dollars
  • Oversee Risk budgets
  • Oversee production on any in-house development materials, including hiring crews, editors, creative producers, etc.
  • Provide auditor with relevant production documents for audit
  • Coordinate with auditor and make recommendations regarding disallowances
  • Coordinate with producers each season to obtain production calendars, schedules and contact sheets and distribute internally and to risk team
  • Attend show tapings on behalf of the Network regarding
  • Maintain production binders with final approved budgets and breakage approvals, production and post-calendars, contacts, etc.
  • Tax credits
  • Work with production to suggest and secure tax-friendly locations
  • Follow-up with productions to facilitate & ensure full refunds
  • Communicate with internally union/guild guides to avoid any potential concerns
  • Create and maintain the Alternative all production calendar

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 10+ years of experience as a production executive

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $185,500.00-250,000.00 annually for California. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
