JOB DESCRIPTION

A Senior Content Operator at Fox Sports is a ‘star-operator’ who is responsible for overseeing and managing various aspects of content creation, publishing, and scheduling across the organization's digital platforms. 

Senior Content Operators report directly to the Manager of Content Operations and will play an integral role in the fulfillment of live and VOD content for FOX Sports apps and web platform. A Senior Content Operator should feel confident acting as a subject matter expert for all high-profile events that are hosted on our digital platforms. Must be comfortable serving in a deputized role to the director. 

Additionally, a Senior Content Operator will have a vital role in identifying live digital events that will be provided on our digital platform and ensures all proper pre-production action items are finalized. This involves managing a content calendar, coordinating with team members, and meeting deadlines.

Overall, a Senior Content Operator at Fox Sports plays a crucial role in ensuring the organization's digital content strategy is effectively executed, driving audience engagement, and supporting the brand's overall goals.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead a team of content operators and ensure they work collaboratively and efficiently. This includes providing guidance, setting performance expectations, and monitoring their progress and communicating observations to the manager
  • Monitor content performance and analyze data to identify trends, optimize content delivery, and inform future content strategies
  • Design and maintain mission-critical trackers 
  • Reserve and apply TX media sources for content contingencies to maintain broadcast expectations and standards
  • Managing Program Scheduling and Listings Integration 
  • Execute a variety of live operations such as contingency, bonus and social content, and 4K events
  • Establish and enforce content policies, guidelines, and best practices to maintain brand consistency and ensure all content adheres to industry standards
  • Apply blackout rules, regionalization, and live policies for listings
  • Identify necessary keyart requests by coordinating with the digital design team
  • Problem solves content related issues and provides Root-Cause-Analysis (RCA) reports
  • Have expert knowledge on all Content Ops tools such as CMS and monitoring as well as the ability to learn new technology as the team evolves over time.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Experience in content operations, broadcast operations, asset fulfillment, post-production, digital supply chain, and digital media
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Must be able to provide flexible work availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Experience with content management systems, content policies, and editorial workflows
  • Ability to communicate well in both small and large groups
  • Passion for TV (Sports, News, Entertainment)

NICE OT HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, TV/Film, Business Management
  • Experience working with technology leveraging cloud infrastructure
  • Experience analyzing video metrics such as Adobe Marketing Cloud, Conviva QoS, etc
  • Experience in various video delivery systems, live streaming, or VOD
  • Experience working with web formats: XML, HTML, RSS, JSON
  • Experience working with sporting leagues (NFL/MLB/MLS/etc.)

SCHEDULE/SHIFT

  • Typically, normal weekday business hours but must be flexible to cover weekends, nights, and holidays at times
