ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer focused on Network Engineering, Media, and Broadcast to implement and support highly resilient and scalable networks supporting our digital media streaming platform for live broadcast Sports events. The Network Engineering team will work closely with multiple teams and disciplines across the enterprise to conceptualize, build and integrate solutions and services to support the challenging real-time requirements of the Media and Broadcast business. ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate should have a proven track record implementing and supporting large-scale mission critical networks and troubleshooting complex problems. Media and/or broadcast experience are a huge plus. We are looking for strong written and in-person communication, and a self-starter that can identify and solve problems early on and help mentor junior members of the team.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement and support secure technology solutions capable of transporting live and file-based content over private and public networks 

  • Support various technology projects to design and build out scalable solutions to business related problems 

  • Support efforts across the organization to troubleshoot critical service impacting issues 

  • Mentor junior members of the team

  • Serve as point of escalation for network issues 

  • Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation 

  • Manage and maintain data center infrastructure for customer facing services 

  • Interface with carriers for operational support 

  • Other duties as assigned 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • BS in a related field or equivalent experience 

  • Experience working with large scale networks 

  • Experience in deploying and supporting data centers utilizing Spine-leaf architecture

  • Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with network platforms such as Arista, Palo Alto, Cisco and/or Juniper 

  • Advanced network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills 

  • Strong experience with, and advanced knowledge in the following protocols & technologies: QoS, Multicast, BGP, IPSEC & VPNs, Telemetry, packet capture and analysis  

  • EVPN-VXLAN 

  • Strong time management and prioritization

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • CCNP Certification 

  • ACE-L3 Certification 

  • PCNSA Certification 

  • Experience with automation and scripting is desired 

  • Knowledge of cloud VPC, Direct connect, cloud security, and virtualized firewalls

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $95,000.00-176,000.00 annually for California. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
