JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Sports is looking for a Freelance Remote Integration Engineer to join the team in Los Angeles, CA. As a Remote Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for the day to day support of our live HRP Productions and other remotely integrated live events. You will also be responsible for the day to day maintenance of the Live Production equipment and Remote Production flypacks at FOX Sports.

This position will be filled as a NABET 53 Union representative and will require an open flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work on location at the FOX Pico Lot supporting day to day Live Productions
• Work independently in a fast-paced live television environment and will be responsible for ensuring that on-site systems stay operational under all circumstances
• Support a wide array of live production equipment including but not limited to, Media Encoders/Decoder, Video Routers, Production Switchers, Audio Console and Intercom
   

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• 5+ years of experience in a television broadcast environment or equivalent combination of education/experience
• 2+ years of experience working in a remote broadcast environment as engineer or similar position
• Experience with large format Router Control Systems (Evertz preferable)
• A broad range of experience with broadcast systems including RF, Satellite, IP based transmissions systems, Analog/Digital Audio and Video Systems and computer networking knowledge, with experience with the design, installation and maintenance of Video, Audio, and IP systems used in remote television productions
• Advanced computer/IT skills, including thorough understanding of networking, subnets, and IP configuration
• Proficient with broadcast production systems and software including Calrec Audio Consoles, Riedel Intercom Systems, Grass Valley Video Switchers and Dante audio networking
• Ability to work alone and in a team environment with fellow engineers, Operations, IT and other departments

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $60.00-70.00 per hour. We provide Freelancers medical/dental/vision insurance and 401k after they meet eligibility criteria and any State required time-off, in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
