The job is defined as follows: Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Director of Finance for Fox First Run would be involved with a variety of tasks with the Fox First Run corporate finance & production teams. These responsibilities revolve around the annual budget process, monthly, quarterly, and year-end close; as well as assisting the VP of Finance with a variety of accounting/finance tasks. The position will help the VP in staff management and training. The position with liaise and have oversight of the production accounting teams & some of their functions. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Oversight of the production monthly/quarterly journal entries for the accounting close.
Oversight of the monthly account reconciliations.
Oversight of the Fox First Run’s cash reconciliation.
Ownership of the monthly syndication billable/receivable process.
Ownership of the Master Distribution Services’ P&L as well as the monthly close.
Ownership of monthly intercompany transactions.
Play a key role with the preparation of the annual budget.
Prepare ad hoc analysis on a as needed basis.
Other duties as deemed appropriate.
Looking for a highly motivated individual to be able to work and function in a very fast paced environment, an independent thinker who is able to navigate between the corporate and production infrastructure by the way of working with production accounting teams as well as the corporate personnel of Fox First Run & Fox Television Stations. The candidate must be willing to work long hours, be available to help on short notice, be available to meet in person on an as needed basis (the position is considered hybrid). Looking for a responsible person, who can think critically and will take ownership of the work and produce. Accounting/Finance degree is a must. Between 5-6 years of work experience – MBA & Entertainment industry is preferred but not required.
