ABOUT THE ROLE

The Data & Commercial Platform is seeking a Strategic Content Specialist to join the Strategy & Design team at FOX. The Strategic Content Specialist will support teams by developing various types of technical and brand-related content that align with the platform’s overall strategy and brand standards. This role will work closely with users and stakeholders across teams to assist with driving strategic initiatives and understanding their audiences’ needs.

The successful candidate will have a proven background in technical writing, content strategy, or another related field.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct research on a project basis, including user and stakeholder interviews, surveys, industry and competitor landscape, best-in-class standards/concepts, and additional desk research

  • Help prepare and participate in strategic ecosystem, product, journey, and other mapping workshops

  • Collaborate with cross-functional team leads to align on content project requirements, scopes, timelines, etc.

  • Support cross-functional team leads on presentations, including positioning narratives from the audience’s perspective, writing compelling slides, and designing decks to our brand standards

  • Help establish a content creation process from request through ideation, execution, and review,  and push its adoption across the team

  • Be a key driver of creating an easy-to-follow style guide for various types of content

  • Work closely with content partners to download and translate ideas into various formats of written content

  • Write, edit, and maintain technical and brand content across the platform team on a project and ad-hoc basis, including:

    • How-to and overview guide

    • Email communications

    • Newsletters

    • Decks (sales, demos, updates, etc.)

    • White papers

    • Product one-sheets

    • Thought leadership

    • Templates 

    • Glossary definitions

    • Surveys

    • Brand style guides

  • Conduct quarterly audits of technical content and mediate potential content gaps or discrepancies

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Experience in technical writing, content strategy, product management, project management, and/or related field 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, Computer Science, Design, or related field

  • Exceptional  collaboration, writing, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to think big picture while maintaining a keen attention to detail 

  • Comfort with explaining complex concepts in layman’s terms 

  • Proven ability to work proactively and autonomously

  • Ability to work in a hybrid work environment (3 days per week in either the New York or Los Angeles office)

  • Experience with Figma, Confluence, JIRA, Airtable, and Google Suite

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • Experience with LucidChart, Looker, or other analytics software

  • Interest in media and entertainment

  • Interest in data and how it can empower an organization to make data-driven decisions
