Duties and Responsibilities:
Seeking a producer to manage our afternoon news program “The Four”. This show is a combination of news, live interviews, Bay Area culture and guest segments. Producer will have full creative control and work closely with booking producer, anchors, writers and executive producer to create unique content for a late afternoon audience. This is not a standard news show. Producer must be an avid user of social media, understand current trends, be willing to take risks and have excellent control room skills. Producer must be able to line produce, find original content, create graphics, time a live show, troubleshoot issues under tight deadlines, and collaborate with newsroom. Must be an excellent writer. Other duties assigned as deemed appropriate and necessary.
High school diploma is required; 4-year College degree is preferred. Candidate should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience with fast-paced television productions. Experience with iNews or other newscast software is required. A strong technical understanding of newsroom operations is also required. Excellent communication and leadership skills are required.
