JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX is looking for a Supervisor Desktop and Client Services to oversee the Desktop and Account staff at the DC Bureau. This is a technical position, accountable for the technical and supervisory aspects of end-user installation and support of Client Systems (personal computer technology, associated peripherals, printers, mobile phones, etc.) This role includes day-to-day break/fix and coordination of end-user computing, including prioritization, dispatch, and service recovery of technical problem calls, work orders, and Move/Add/Change requests. You will work with our counterpart in NY to ensure that all support processes and procedures are mirrored across Fox News Media and provide technical help, supervise and coordinate group projects, and install any computer hardware and software.

Travel to remote locations to support field operations including any for Fox Corp.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Track all support requests through a ticketing system and track all resolutions to issues

  • Manage and review the progress and quality of work performed by audio/visual integrators and steps in to get work back on track as needed

  • Analyze the performance of team’s activities and documented resolutions, identify problem areas, and devise and deliver solutions to enhance the quality of service and to prevent future problems

  • Engage and work constructively with A/V vendors, oversee A/V system installations, and manage associated support contracts

  • Provide expert-level technical and project leadership on multiple projects simultaneously; provide tier II/III technical support for all installed A/V systems in coordination with FOX IT and A/V vendors

  • Identify, recommend, develop, and implement end-user training programs to increase computer literacy and self-sufficiency

  • Troubleshoot complex audio, video, switching and control systems

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Fundamental computer network understanding

  • Ability to connect to LAN based equipment

  • Ability to work independently to quickly troubleshoot and isolate problems within a fast-paced on-air environment

  • Ability to motivate and direct staff members and subordinates

  • Strong ZOOM backend administrative ability

  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to share information effectively and confidently to internal and external audiences of varying levels of technical knowledge

  • Confident, articulate, and professional speaking abilities (and experience)

  • Empathic listener and persuasive speaker

  • Writing creative or factual

  • Speaking in public, to groups, or via electronic media
