JOB DESCRIPTION

The Big Ten Network is looking for an IT Analyst/Help Desk Support person to join their team in Chicago, IL. As the IT Analyst/Help Desk Support person, you will support corporate users in a professional and timely manner. You will have to be comfortable in a fast-paced live production environment and must be available on weekends, nights, and holidays for support with a flexible schedule when needed.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • End user support covering all areas of technology, hardware, and software support

  • Upkeep of IT technology within the office to support end user needs

  • Help in other departments when needed on non-related tasks

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 3+ years in an IT support roll

  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical ideas verbally and in written forms.

  • Self-task management and experience in local and remote support

  • Ability to balance the management of multiple IT projects on top of support duties

  • Excellent ability to maintain and develop relationships with vendors and internal customers

  • Technical troubleshooting skills with devices local and remote

  • Have the understanding and knowledge of remote support software Bomgar

  • Functional understanding of networking and server technologies (Active Directory, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, WAN/LAN, VPN, Switches/Routers, Microsoft Office 360, and Windows Server)

  • Have prior knowledge and experience with ticketing systems and Okta verify

  • Support Mobile hardware including phones, tablets, and laptops

  • CentOS, Ubuntu, OS X exposure and understanding

  • FTP, rsync, ssh, and sftp use and support

  • Willingness to learn and support broadcast level video editing systems

  • Must be able to work odd and long hours (i.e. nights, weekends, and holidays)

NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEAL BREAKER

  • Proficient with diagram software for documentation, CAD experience
  • Video streaming technologies and streaming infrastructure support experience
