Fox Stations Sales, the national sales division of the Fox Television Stations, is seeking a VP, Talent Development/Automated Sales Systems to direct and supervise the training of sales talent, preparing them for placement in Account Executive Roles at stations and sales offices within the division. The VP also acts as the liaison for sales with automated sales platforms the Company is in partnership with. Candidate should be familiar with all aspects of television station sales and research, including linear broadcast, live streaming news/sports, and OTT/Connected TV efforts.
-Manage the Fox Stations Sales Training Program, contributing to the evolving design of the curriculum, and supervising the training of junior sales talent destined for promotion into Account Executive roles.
-Run the training program from the FSS New York office, or remotely as required.
-Work in tandem with the FTS Corporate Traffic & Systems group, evaluating new system offerings from a sales user standpoint.
-Become the sales expert in the division, for all Wide Orbit Systems, including Traffic, Media Sales, Analytics, and new Unified Seller Suite, sharing & training expertise with sales staff.
-Provide end-to-end sales workflow evaluation of automated agency platforms including: Hudson MX, ProvantageX, Prisma, Strata/Freewheel, MediaOcean Connect.
-Cultivate relationships with such platforms with eye toward improving functionality and efficiencies for Fox
-Act as FSS reporting specialist, providing custom setup and analysis of revenue & pacing reports upon request.
-Attend Television Interfaces Practices (TIP) committee meetings on behalf of the division, reporting to upper management progress to date with vendor automation efforts.
-Multiple years of broadcast sales experience at the Account Executive level
Solid track record in broadcast sales management, preferably both local station and national sales organization experience
-A knack for coaching junior personnel, preparing them for the AE workforce
-Thorough understanding of audience research, measurement and media math, including familiarity with Nielsen and Comscore
-Knowledge of OTT/Connected TV efforts
-Proficiency with and knowledge of automated sales and agency systems
-Keen ability to investigate system issues and problem solve
-Quantitative and qualitative analysis experience, with the ability to turn data into selling points/presentation
-Formal education, BA or higher
