JOB DESCRIPTION

Home Team Sports is seeking a Vice President of Partnership Development to join our team in Chicago. As Vice President, you will be directly in charge of generating new or incremental revenue, through client direct contact at senior levels by articulating and prophesizing the Home Team Sports value proposition. You will partner, collaborate, ideate, prospect, strategize, target, and execute sales plans with other VPs of PD, VPs of Sales, our VP of Creative Partnerships, and Account Executives with the sole accountability of new revenue generation for Home Team Sports. You will also be responsible for managing sales efforts and achieving budgeted accountabilities for specific sports verticals or product categories assigned by the SVP and EVP of Sales. You will be expected to utilize the latest prospecting tools, research data, market and media knowledge, along with excellent presentation skills to articulate and monetize concepts, in order to generate revenue from new, traditional and non-traditional sources.  Finally, you must provide exceptional vision, motivation and guidance to the traditional sales teams, for target account development and once new accounts are developed, you will be expected to successfully transition these new clients to the traditional sales teams for day to day account management.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in development of a methodical and organized approach for specific sales categories
  • Assist traditional sales teams to increase incremental or develop new sales revenue
  • Establish contacts at senior client levels
  • Increase opportunities for Home Team Sports access and business growth with new clients through relationship development and industry specific networking
  • Maximize and monetize Home Team Sports sales opportunities in product categories with no Home Team Sports sales presence
  • Transition new clients and advertisers to the traditional Home Team Sports sales teams
  • Sustain the long-term viability of the Fox Sports business

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Minimum of 8 yearsexperience in business development in an Advertising Sales capacity
  • Prior management experience (supervising a team of Account Executives)
  • Knowledge of the sports industry and sports sales with a proven track record of formulating and executing successful business development plans
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with high level clientele
  • Proven track record of ad revenue generation and innovative strategies
  • A strategic thinker and an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Superior public speaking and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations in both one-on-one and group situations
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships in the ad community
  • Ability to learn and utilize research-based systems to create and deliver compelling presentations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Superior management and organization skills, as well as strong leadership qualities
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a high-pressure environment

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEAL BREAKER

  • A Bachelor’s degree is awesome but not required
  • Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, Revenue Generation systems, Custom Show, Media Ocean, Wide Orbit
