JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX News Digital is looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to drive quality assurance around our data on behalf of Fox Corporation, Product & Technology. You will analyze internal systems and tools in audience measurement (Ad Server Google Ad Manager, Freewheel, and Segment Analytics). In this role, you will be validating beacons that fire into our systems, executing solution design test plans, flagging anomalies in pre-production and post-production environments. We're looking for someone who has a strong background in Quality Assurance, specifically around Google Ad Manager or other ad server systems, and analytics systems for page and video tracking.

This position can be based in New York, Los Angeles, or remotely.

A SNAPSHOT OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manually test our site/apps with test cases and validate beacons that fire into our systems

  • Identify and follow up on issues; communicate, track, and report on all aspects of measurement around video and page tracking analytics

  • Implement, validate tests, and track problems; identify changes in pre-production and post-production code to ensure adherence to data quality based on solution design requirements

  • Analyze audience engagement from system entry to exit (end-to-end testing) and track and troubleshoot errors with the developers and the QA team

  • Diagnose, isolate, and identify problems related to web, video player, and/or app failures caused by errors in pre-release software code

  • Collaborate with the QA team to learn our solution design requirements and maintain existing test plans

  • Participate in requirements gathering, maintain technical documentation, and attend technical meetings

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 5+ years’ experience in a technical digital role; metrics and analytics required

  • Experience with analytics, ad server, video, and mobile technology solutions

  • Experience with quality assurance testing, tools, and protocols, including Charles, Fiddler, Wireshark, JIRA TestRail and other data QA validation systems

  • Experience as a subject matter expert on quality assurance test cases; Ability to write technical documentation and execute test cases

  • Experience debugging JavaScript/JAVA beacons

  • Experience in one or more of the following: Google Ad Manager, FreeWheel, Segment Analytics, JIRA, TestRail, Confluence

  • Fundamental understanding of publisher-side ad tagging and video tracking measurement

  • Packet sniffers such as Charles Proxy, Wireshark, Fiddler experience

  • Strong knowledge in QA’ing Web, Mobile, and OTT devices
