OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY

Fox Corporation

Under the FOX banner, we produce and distribute content through some of the world’s leading and most valued brands, including: FOX News, FOX Sports, the Fox Network, and the FOX Television Stations. We empower a diverse range of creators to imagine and develop culturally significant content, while building an organization that thrives on creative ideas, operational expertise and strategic thinking.

JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX is in the process of re-engineering its Ad Sales, Commercial Operations, Promo Scheduling, and Billing operations, specifically to consolidate all broadcast & cable channels onto a single technology platform and streamline business processes across the enterprise.  To support this initiative, FOX is forming an elite team of experienced Planning Analysts that can foster this transition, specifically to:

  • Support channel-specific sales staff in building client proposals, administering existing deals, and ultimately ensuring business continuity across the sales life cycle
  • Execute vendor product test cycles to ensure adherence to FOX’s processes
  • Liaison with existing Planner/Assistant teams to provide vendor product support, solicit ongoing feedback, and identify opportunities for process/system change

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Planning

  • Plan-Building:  build/revise Upfront and Scatter client proposals.  Partner with Sales Leadership to meet agency/client requirements to build the optimal plan
  • Deal Maintenance: partner with Pricing & Planning and Commercial Operations to maintain all existing deals, manage preemptions and programming changes, prepare deal memos and handle all ongoing maintenance activities
  • Partner with the Pricing & Planning teams to ensure adherence to inventory availability and appropriate deal approvals
  • Provide recommendations, and ultimately enforce, existing and/or revised policies and procedures throughout the system transition
  • Understand channel-specific operations & anomalies
  • In prep for Channel Transition, manually re-build client proposals into new vendor product for each channel transition

Channel Transition

  • Learn vendor product functionality and roadmap; communicate product features and process workarounds to peers on existing Planner/Assistant teams
  • Leverage planning experience to execute test scripts against vendor product.  Identify/communicate issues with Technology partners and vendor.  Iterate on test cycles and sign-off when resolved
  • During the transition period, support existing Planner/Assistant teams on day-to-day activities; leverage understanding of current state environment (legacy system) to "bridge" users to the future state (new vendor product)
  • Identify/capture new enhancement requests and recommended process changes; communicate to Ad Sales and Program Leadership for review and approval
  • Provide onsite hyper-care support to existing Planner/Assistant teams (answer questions, coordinate tech follow-ups, log issues, etc.)
  • Support existing team on all plan-building/maintenance activities so as to not impact customer service during the transition period

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 12 months related experience in media sales or media buying
  • Proficient in media math
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

NICE TO HAVE

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and handle projects independently, as well as part of a team
  • Working knowledge of linear sales software (OnAir, WideOrbit)
