JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an Ad Sales Planner for the Big Ten Network. This position is responsible for assembling media plans for clients and stewarding deals after they have gone to order. These duties include all phases of plan development including building plans, deal stewardship, makegoods, and delivery for both linear and non-linear advertisers.  Additional responsibilities include creation of sales proposals and materials to support the sales team.  Must have basic understanding of media math and terms in order to follow instructions from sales team and communicate effectively externally with clients.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • TV Planning: Builds plans, enters orders, monitors delivery, manages pre-emptions and ADU schedules; ensures that clients are satisfied with plans built for them and place order; plan/maintain monthly client budgets
  • Digital Planning: Builds IO’s, enters orders, coordinates Traffic, and assists in stewardship communication
  • Works with Finance team on monthly billing for linear and digital deals/orders

  • Works with sales team to develop presentations for meetings and individual client recaps

  • Assists in various administration tasks like event planning, client travel and other miscellaneous needs

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • A minimum of 2+ years experience as a Digital or TV Sales Assistant in a media company or network is required

  • Sales Planning experience preferred

  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred

  • Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook is required

  • A basic familiarity with the television and/or digital sales process is preferred

  • A professional phone demeanor, good organization skills and attention to detail are necessary

  • A demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment is required

  • A familiarity with the television business process is preferred

  • Fluency of media math and operating systems like Wide Orbit and FreeWheel are favored
