JOB DESCRIPTION

Big Ten Network is currently seeking a Freelance Crewing Assistant to join their team in Chicago.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Aid crewing events at assigned schools & any other events assigned
• Aid in crewing any specialty events assigned
• Help Crewing Supervisor with obtaining and organizing freelance crew availability
• Create new crew grids in Microsoft Excel to organize crew scheduled
• Input crew information into crew grids as assigned by the Crewing Supervisor
• Create sign out sheets for remote events
• Send out email communication to freelance new-hires that will need to complete start paperwork and onboarding information
• Maintain database of all crew members in each market
• Maintain up to date master crew compliments for each sport/event in the share drive that the department can access
• Any other tasks as assigned by Crewing Supervisor

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• College degree preferred

• Office administration experience required

• Excellent verbal & written communication skills required

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to adapt and adjust to change well

• Must be computer literate in MS Word & MS Excel
• Must be able to create Excel reports/spreadsheets
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
• Can be in front of computer for long periods of time
• Must be able to handle long periods of time on the telephone
