JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you ready to join a smaller, more agile company, ready to rapidly innovate and invest in new businesses? We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer of Information Security to focus on applying a software development approach to Information Security. A core focus for this role will be on driving automation, codification of processes, building unique services enable business devs to be more secure, and modernize security. You will have the unique ability and opportunity to dive into development across all of Fox's businesses and help ensure a standard of security across the board.

We are interested in someone who is willing to challenge the status quo. Want to help other devs code more securely? How can we build streamlined security services into unique CI/CD processes to enable the business to move quickly in a secure way? How can we apply threat modeling to application development? How can we automate identification of security issues and their remediations? How can Machine Learning be applied to information security? What open source technology is available that can be applied as part of our toolset? How can we drive a “zero-trust” methodology throughout the business? Have an opinion on DevSecOps? Bring it to the table!

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help design, build, and maintain automated security detection and remediation services
  • Explore how emerging technologies such as Machine Learning can be utilized to enhance security
  • Perform security assessments of new applications, products, and technologies
  • Build security software and micro-services to be consumed by internal application development teams
  • Help design, build, and maintain an API infrastructure that will integrate with multi-platform applications
  • Embed security into the SDLC across various Fox business units
  • Support review of Fox’s bug-bounty program
  • Propose innovative solutions to mitigate application security problems
  • Provide thought leadership on code quality and engineering improvements


WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 10-12+ years’ experience
  • Experience using Amazon Web Services (AWS); Lambda, API Gateway, Step-Functions
  • Strong experience in software development utilizing JavaScript, Go, and Python
  • Experience developing utilizing modern application development frameworks (Node, AngularJS, or React)
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experience in application security and development best practices
  • Experience with developing models and queries against large data sets
  • Experience with IDP technologies, OAuth, SAML
  • Ability to develop in an Agile (SCRUM, Kanban) environment
