JOB DESCRIPTION

We have a great opportunity for a Research Analyst!  In this exciting new position, the Research Analyst is a storyteller who will be responsible for the maintenance and evaluation of numerous data sources that track FOX News Media and our competition. The Research Analyst will provide audience tracking trending reports to Ad Sales management; distribute daily and weekly reports highlighting network/program performance; effectively respond to ad hoc information requests from Ad Sales; assist the Directors and SVP in the development of various analysis projects; and maintain and update all research database systems.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide audience tracking and trending reports to the Editorial Team, Public Relations, and Ad Sales management through monitoring and analysis of various research database applications.

  • Prepare and distribute daily and weekly reports highlighting the relevant performance of Network core competitors to enable network performance to be utilized in positioning FOX Nets in negotiating rates.

  • Maintain and update all database systems utilized in daily analysis to ensure that the most current and accurate information is available to the department.

  • Respond to ad hoc information requests from Ad Sales by understanding requirements, compiling relevant data, and interpreting it into a clear and useful format. 

  • Assist the Directors in developing and facilitating various analysis projects.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Experience in media research.

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and

  • Familiarity with comScore, Startrak, NPOWER, Nielsen Ad Intel, and MRI-Simmons preferred.
    A proven ability to learn and utilize various database systems

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills 

  • Good interpersonal skills and a proven ability to multitask and handle special projects are required.

  • Self-starter, curious style, with a strong attention to detail and meticulous skills with data accuracy

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $61,000.00-85,500.00 annually for New York City and Westchester County, NY. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
