Fox Corporation is looking for a Backend Application Developer to join our team. Our premiere Platform is the digital foundation of all Fox brands and their Web/Mobile/OTT properties. ABOUT YOU

- You look to engage in agile software methodologies, including practices from XP and Lean into your daily behaviors; unit tests are your way of life, not a nice-to- have
- You enjoy engaging in conversation software design and can communicate your ideas and concepts to other team members for collaboration and feedback
- You can review sequence diagrams and turn code design into testable application that meets given acceptance criteria
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilize TDD to implement unit tests on new development, and implement E2E testing with automation in mind
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and security
- Drive the development of our enterprise Content Management System using OOP and decoupled architectures
- Integrate with custom Node-based microservices that power our CMS and APIs
ABOUT THE TECHNOLOGIES WE USE

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- Strong understanding of Node.js and Typescript
- Write maintainable and scalable code that implements OO design patterns
- Knowledge of PHP
- Proficiency with WordPress development, with focus on plugin development and architecture.
- Familiarity with implementing middleware, custom routing, and proxies
- Understanding of code design and architecture; Focusing on extensible clean code and TDD
