JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Multi-skilled Robotic Camera Operator to join Fox News Channel at our DC Bureau. As the Robotic Camera Operator, you operate robotic cameras for live and pre-recorded productions. You also provide technical operational support for our studio and control room teams. You are experienced with Studio Operations!

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate both robotic and non-robotic cameras consistent with established guidelines for framing, shot composition, timing and equipment handling
  • Work with technical staff to satisfy production needs for live and pre-recorded programming
  • Assist Stage Manager in setting up and breaking down show sets
  • Perform Studio checks with Stage Manager, A2 and Technical Director before daily production begins
  • Position Show Cameras in pre-assigned locations prior to live and pre-recorded shows
  • Pro-actively assist the stage manager in maintaining the integrity of the studio and all associated studio equipment
  • Other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Flexibility to serve as a fill-in for Stage Manager, A2 or Prompter Operator
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required
  • 2 years of experience in a TV Studio environment preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills required
  • A collaborative team player attitude paired with the ability to work well with others in a fast-paced dynamic studio environment
  • Ability to work under pressure
