We are looking for an Associate Producer/Editor to join Network News Service (NNS), an ABC, CBS, FOX News Cooperative with 556 member stations. NNS provides LIVE Breaking News (7,500 LIVE feeds last year) to all three Networks. As the Associate Producer/Editor, you work alongside colleagues from ABC and CBS in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. While this is a FOX position, you provide content to the Cooperative.
As the Associate Producer/Editor, NNS you have a strong combination of editorial, operational, and logistics experience. You are able to supervise Newsroom operations and editorial content, including, but not limited to, reacting effectively to live breaking News, managing edit assignments, and approving edits and abstracts. Additionally, you have proven leadership skills, understand how to use social media to discover and track stories, and possess the News judgment to prioritize assignments. You know the digital “tools of the trade”, including non-linear editing and file-based video transfer. Strong News writing and good customer service skills are a must. Knowledge of satellite, fiber, and IP-based transmission is helpful. Assignment Desk experience is a plus.
