JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Director of Production Finance to oversee FOX Entertainment’s various production/co-production related activities, including but not limited to managing budgets and forecasts, maintaining and preparing financials, coordinating with partner studios and working on related participations and residuals.

A SNAPSHOT OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee accounting and finance function for all production and co-production related activities for FOX Entertainment, both scripted and unscripted
  • Hire, train and supervise a staff of 1-2 individuals, with potential to increase, in maintaining appropriate books and records
  • Work with executive team and partner studios to prepare budgets and forecasts for all such initiatives, both at the aggregate and the individual project levels, and monitor performance against budget on a monthly basis
  • Maintain ultimates for all individual projects in coordination with partners as necessary
  • Develop and maintain adequate controls over all facets of this business, and be the primary source of contact for auditors – internal, external and union/guild
  • Manage various overall and first-look deals with talent
  • Be a key player in the design and development of appropriate financial systems as it relates this area and assist in the transition to new ERP system
  • Work closely with Network finance team to coordinate proper elimination and consolidation of financials and to provide appropriate show-level economics
  • Work with various shared service groups, including AP, AR and HR, as needed

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 5+ years of Production Finance experience at major studio, with at least 2 years at a Manager-level
  • Experience working with internal, external and union/guild auditors
  • Experience working with production budgets, ultimates and talent deals
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • E1 and Workday Financials knowledge a plus
  • Proactive, with ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in high-pressure, time-sensitive environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills a must
