JOB DESCRIPTION

As a member of the Corporate Finance department, the SEC Reporting & Accounting Policy Senior Accountant will be responsible for assisting in ensuring regulatory compliance with SEC reporting requirements and to ensure adherence to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements and any other newly emerging FASB and regulatory requirements. Major responsibilities of the role include:

  • Managing the preparation of the financial statement footnotes and MD&A for Fox Corporation's Annual Report and the preparation of Form 10-K and Form 10-Qs
  • Assist in gathering information from individual business units to include in the Annual and Quarterly Reports
  • Assist in the implementation of the new leasing (ASC 842) standard.
  • Assisting in the valuation and expense recognition of stock-based compensation
  • Providing direct support on various special projects (i.e., analytical review, quarterly accounting updates, etc.)
  • Assisting in the documentation and testing of internal controls in accordance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act
  • Providing support to other groups in the Corporate Finance department on an as-needed basis

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Accounting
  • CPA (or in the examination/licensing process)
  • 3 to 5 years relevant experience
  • Experience with preparing notes/memoranda explaining changes in balance sheet and income statement accounts
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Must be comfortable working independently
  • Detail-oriented
  • Proficiency in the full suite of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word. PowerPoint and Access
