The Big Ten Network in Chicago is searching for an Associate Producer to join their team. This position is responsible for working with the Producers to create unique content for various shows. They will produce teases, opens, features and vignettes for Big Ten Network Live, Pregame Show, Finale and Final Drive. They will also be assisting the Producers by editing, writing, turning around post game elements and creating music montages.
Assist the Producer by editing, writing, turning around post game elements and creating music montages
Edit show elements and assists specialized editors with packages
Communicate with Production Assistants, Anchors, Directors and Graphic Designers regarding show requirements
Write copy, as required
Bachelor’s degree (in Communications, Broadcasting, Radio/TV/Film is preferred
4+ years of experience in television production, including linear and non-linear editing is also preferred
Good writing and communication skills
Basic math skills to properly calculate show timings
The ability to make sound, informed judgments regarding show production requirements
Outstanding organizational and project management skills
An overall knowledge of sports is needed
Familiarity with studio production and production equipment
A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with team members and work under daily time pressure
The ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
