The Big Ten Network is searching for a Technical Operator to join their team in Chicago. The Operator will work with Operations, Production, Remote and Engineering staff in the downlinking and feeding of events, pressers, hits, and other media. Responsibilities include downlinking HD satellite feeds, connecting IP and fiber feeds and communicating or troubleshooting with on-site remote technical personnel regarding the video and audio integrity of feeds, faxing technical equipment prior to air and/or stream. This Operator will also be a remote camera operator for live and recorded talkbacks and live shots via IP feeds and will work closely with the Studio Production for live Studio broadcast from the production facility and also site. Other duties include ingesting media content and asset allocation as well as asset organization and scheduling of resources.

- College Degree required
- Minimum of 5 years Transmission, Ingest and/or Related Experience
- Must be able to communicate with all levels of management and have a solid understanding of technical terminology
- Technical knowledge of/experience with: HD Satellite and Digital Parameters, Fiber, Routers, Waveform, Vector Scopes, Switcher, Audio and Video levels/standards, Digital Media, Ingesting Media
