Job Description

Fox Networks Group is seeking a Senior Manager of Human Resources to function as the strategic HR advisor to management, and provide general HR support to assigned internal client groups. This role will focus on providing coaching and counseling to management and employees, handling day-to-day HR questions and employee relations issues, and leading HR administration processes.

  • Functions as primary HR Business Partner for Finance/Accounting, trueX and Audience Insights employees, including regularly working out of other office locations in the West Los Angeles area.
  • Provide general HR support to employees and management, including employee counseling, response to day-to-day HR questions, staffing requests, performance management, employee relations issues, policy interpretation, and legal compliance. Includes addressing issues with freelance employees and union daily hires, ensuring compliance with NABET and IATSE contracts, and conducting investigations and training as needed.
  • Function as the strategic HR advisor to all directors and below for assigned client groups.  Identify HR needs, develop and implement relevant solutions for the businesses regarding organizational effectiveness, change management, new business initiatives, performance management, talent and succession planning, employee relations, departmental needs, employee morale and engagement, training and other HR topics.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Organizational Development & Training and HR Shared Services on various client needs, including staffing requests; salary reviews for new hires, promotions, and market adjustments; leaves of absence; and training and development needs.
  • Implement annual HR programs, including merit and bonus planning, and performance reviews, and support management with annual budget planning and headcount requests. Handle new hire onboarding, terminations, exit interviews, HR reporting, and other HR administration processes as needed.
  • Manage HR coordinator, including day-to-day supervision, mentoring and creating a development plan for continued professional growth.
  • Act as the initial point of contact for union-related activity, including partnering with Labor Relations, handling initial grievance conversations, investigations, leaves of absence, time off accruals, compensation, benefits, etc. Act as lead person on DGA Deal Memos to ensure compliance with applicable CBAs across departments. Conduct training classes for daily hires and managers as needed.
  • Support diversity and recruiting initiatives, and other company HR projects and activities as needed.


  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, related field and HR Certification preferred. Must have at least 8 years progressive experience in Human Resources (or related discipline) dealing with exempt and non-exempt workforce, with at least 3 years of experience in a union environment, and minimum 3 years of management experience. 
  • Must have excellent knowledge of HR practices, policies, and basic employment laws in order to ascertain the correct action and respond to issues as they arise. 
  • Experience handling investigations, managing highly confidential matters, employee counseling, and engagement of legal counsel and labor relations departments needed.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, are required; must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully at all levels.
  • Must be able to develop and maintain strong relationships with HR team, and all levels of employees and managers across the organization.
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft, Workday or other HRIS systems is required; must be familiar with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience with Visio is a plus.
  • Must be detail oriented, analytical, and comfortable performing basic mathematical calculations.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize and make decisions independently when needed, work well in a fast moving, fluid environment, and stay calm and focused during peak times.
