Job Description

The global headquarters are based in Los Angeles, California, while local offices in almost 30 countries build the distribution structure across the world.Supports the business unit(s) by acting in a functional capacity in all phases of the Project Life Cycle for medium to large projects, including post-production support and on-going maintenance. Drives business process re-engineering activities. Serves as functional liaison to the user community. Continuously gains an understanding of the customers' operations and how systems are used in support of their operations, transferring knowledge to users and other members of the team. Provides front line user support on functional issues.

Application Analysis/Design
  • Analyses and documents current / future-state business processes.
  • Leads interviews with customers to define requirements.
  • Delivers informative, well-organized presentations to the business unit(s).
  • Defines, documents, and reviews functional requirements.
  • Facilitates project-related sessions, including software demonstrations.
  • Conducts gap analysis of system functionality and target requirements.
  • Leads design review sessions and documents the detailed functional design.
  • Takes ownership of functional issues by identifying underlying problems, analysing potential solutions and implementing system resolutions, including workarounds.
  • Coordinates the delivery of functional requirements with the development team.
  • Provides first-line, post-implementation support to users regarding functional issues.
Change Management
  • Participates/facilitates change management meetings with business users
  • Defines organizational and business process impact of the new applications
  • Develops change management documentation and presents to business
Application Testing
  • Participates in all system test activities, including development of test plans, test cases and documentation of results.
  • Responsible for ensuring the application meets functionality requirements.
  • Responsible for preparing and scheduling all User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
Application Training
  • Prepares and/or reviews end-user documentation and training materials.
  • Conducts training classes, including train-the trainer, one-on-one, or classroom-style training.
Production Support
  • Performs the analysis for production support activities and provides resolution

Qualifications

Strong analytical, written and presentation skills
  • BS in Computer Science or MIS
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with business and technical requirements analysis, process modelling/mapping, and methodology development
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience with business and technical requirements analysis, process modelling/mapping, and methodology development
  • Extensive experience in defining user requirements.
  • Experience with Salesforce and DW applications
Essential
  • Knowledge of the Project and Systems Development Life Cycle Methodologies.
  • Knowledge of standard IT practices related to business application development/implementation.
  • Knowledge of IT structured analysis methodologies, including process flow definition and data flow diagramming.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong written skills, including development of project documentation and presentation materials required.
  • Strong oral skills, including giving presentations and facilitating meetings with business users
  • Extensive experience in defining user requirements.
  • Experience with Theatrical Distribution industry applications is a plus
  • Experience with SQL
  • Ability to view systems and processes at all levels from the minute detail to abstract concept
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, clients and other IT personnel.
  • Expert office and presentation software skills including MS Office, Visio, and PowerPoint.
