Opportunity to join a small technology team designing Digital Cinema applications at 20th Century Fox. As a member of the growing team, you will contribute to all aspects of the software lifecycle: design, development, testing and integration.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related scientific/engineering field
5 yrs Professional experience in software development
Must have strong proficiency with Linux development environments (e.g. RedHat Linux)
A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
Strong understanding of specific web technologies including HTML5, ES6, REST, HTTP, CSS, JSON, XML
Experience with open-source technologies
Strong database experience (especially MySQL or PostgreSQL), including design, optimization and management
Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills
Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
Strong front-end UI design experience or interest is a plus
Experience in cloud computing (eg. AWS, EC2) is a plus
Experience with high-performing technologies and scaling systems (Memcached, Hadoop, Redis, etc).
Experience with Unix system administration, hardware & networking will be considered a plus
Hands-on experience with network diagnostics, network analytics tools
